Use attach when another terminal, service, or machine has already started the nodes. Flightops observes the selected ROS domain; it does not start those nodes.
Prerequisites
Install Flightops using the build for your platform. Source the ROS environment that can discover your running nodes. If the nodes use a specific domain or middleware, use matching settings in the Flightops shell.
1. Check discovery
flightops doctordoctor reports the distribution, domain, and number of discovered nodes. Zero nodes means discovery found none at that moment. Confirm that the nodes are still running and check ROS_DOMAIN_ID and RMW_IMPLEMENTATION in both shells before changing anything else.
2. Open the terminal
flightopsflightops attach does the same thing. Health (1) shows the current graph counts. Use number keys to change views, / to search, Tab to move between the list and details, and r to refresh. Press ? for the full key list.
3. Close and return
Press q. Flightops closes its observation session and leaves the nodes you attached to running. Run flightops again to reopen the default session. The selected view and filter return; live data is observed again.
Next steps
If you need Flightops to start the nodes, follow launch and inspect. For source mappings and a named project, see the advanced user guide.
